Three New Paintings and a call for models
Hi friends and art lovers. In this brief newsletter, I’m sharing some new work along with the details of a group show I’m in, opening next week. I’m also looking for models so read on…

These three smaller paintings are part of my current series, “My Lisas.” I’m adapting to the smaller format with fewer words and closer images.
The words are excerpts from my flash nonfiction essays—they are some of my favorite lines. I’m painting smaller because I’m starting to apply to some out-of-town shows and frankly, it will be easier to travel with smaller works.
Woman Made Gallery Small Works Show
For the second time this year, I’m participating in a group show at the Woman Made Gallery. “My Lisa 12: Raging Insanity” will be included in this exhibition of small works.
“The Small Works Members Show” juried by curators Astrid Houze de l’Aulnoit and Mary King, features over 100 artists and I am thrilled to be included.
Each piece in the show is under 20 inches in dimension, highlighting the beauty of small-scale artistry across diverse mediums, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, fiber, and photography. All artworks are available for purchase, with prices capped at $400, making it a perfect opportunity for collectors and art lovers to acquire unique works from local artists.
The exhibition opens with a reception at Woman Made Gallery, located at 1332 S. Halsted St. in Chicago, on Saturday, November 23, from 4 to 7 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Thursdays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.
